This event is part of the Council of Michigan Foundations 49th Annual Conference, which will take place October 17-19, 2021 virtually. Registration required.
This panel discussion will provide further insights into the practice of adopting and implementing elements of trust-based philanthropy. Speakers will explore what it means to approach grantee relationships as learning partnerships, not as a temporary measure during the current crisis, but as a permanent shift in the way we work, necessary to address some of the most pervasive inequities in our sector -- especially those facing people of color and other marginalized groups. Additionally, we will examine adopting trust-based philanthropy from a governance perspective, ensuring strategic support from the foundation board for funders of all sizes. Join the Council for Michigan Foundations for a lively interchange about the challenges and opportunities trust-based philanthropy presents.
