PEAK 2022 Online Breakout Session: Building Grants Management Systems With a Trust-Based Lens

  • 10:30-11:45 AM PT (map)

This event is part of PEAK 2022 Online Conference, which will take place March 21-25, 2022, virtually. All conference attendees are welcome to attend this breakout session, but registration is required.

Trust-based philanthropy is often described as an approach to grantmaking that advocates for a shift away from the transactional and more toward the relational. This is typically paired with calls for multi-year unrestricted funding, streamlined paperwork, and approaching grantee relationships as learning partnerships. But what does it look like to apply a trust-based lens to our grant management systems overall? Join us for this interactive session where we'll hear from grants managers and operations staff who have worked intentionally to build systems that support and reinforce values of equity and power-sharing toward a deeper commitment to trust-based philanthropy.

Speakers

  • Elaine Mui, Grants & Operations Manager, General Service Foundation

  • Shaady Salehi, Executive Director, Trust-Based Philanthropy Project
