This event is part of Philanthropy Southwest's 2021 Annual Conference, which will take place October 19-22, 2021, in person in Oklahoma City, OK. Registration required.
There is an unequal power dynamic between foundations and grantees. Rather than acting as if the imbalance doesn’t exist, how can foundations use their position for good, to support grantees and build power? Panelists will discuss how foundations can approach grantees from a place of trust, and how funder practices can inadvertently reinforce an unbalanced power dynamic with grantees. The session will include time for small group discussions.
