NCNG Funders Call: COVID-19 and Trust-Based Philanthropy

As funders work to address needs arising from the intertwined crises of COVID-19 and racial injustice, many are looking to trust-based practices that center grantees and the communities they serve. How can foundations minimize burdens placed on nonprofits, thereby freeing them up to do their best work?

On this call, we’ll dig into the principles of Trust-Based Philanthropy with Philip Li, President and CEO of the Robert Sterling Clark Foundation, and trust-based philanthropy practitioner. The call will also include reflections from Brittney Gaspari, VP of Community Investment for The Winston-Salem Foundation, who will share how she and her colleagues have put some of these principles to work and what they’ve learned so far.
