Trust-Based Learning Webinar

This session is co-hosted with the Institute for Voluntary Action Research (IVAR), this webinar will focus on how trust-based philanthropy rethinks metric-focused, project-specific impact evaluation to instead make space for learning – learning for accountability, decision-making, and long-term impact.

Shaady Salehi (Executive Director of TBP) will first outline the principles of trust-based learning. Brenda Solorzano (CEO, Headwaters Foundation and Steering Committee Member, Trust-Based Philanthropy Project) will then share how her organisation has implemented these approaches to learn about their work and improve over time, while keeping her Board engaged on the big picture.

We hope this conversation will help funders gain more clarity about their contribution to social change, as well as offer concrete ideas on how to begin operationalising a learning mindset alongside staff and trustees alike.

Speakers:

Brenda Solorzano, Headwaters Foundation

Ben Cairns, Institute for Voluntary Action Research

Shaady Salehi (Trust-Based Philanthropy Project)
